Carly’s passion for sport, movement, physical activity, and health is what motivated her to become a physiotherapist. If you are training for sport, looking to get stronger, getting back from an injury or staying active; Carly will support you to be the best version of yourself.
She has a special interest in many areas, including triathlon/running injuries, sports injuries, manual therapy, strength and conditioning, concussions, post-surgical conditions, osteoarthritis, as well as neurological disorders (including Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Spinal Cord Injury, Dementia, and Parkinson’s disease). Carly’s treatment philosophy is to keep patients participating in activities they enjoy by providing manual therapy, education, individualized exercise programs specific to the goals of the patient, and acupuncture.
Her post-secondary years were spent at Western University where she earned both her Honors Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology with a Minor in Dance in 2017, and her Masters of Physical Therapy in 2020. She is an Orthopaedic Level 2 manual therapist, currently working towards completing her manual therapy level 3 through the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She has also completed her acupuncture training through Acupuncture Canada.
Carly was a competitive swimmer, cross -country runner, soccer player, equestrian and dancer in her young years before university. At Western, she was on the lightweight varsity rowing team for 4 years, where she won multiple OUAA titles. Since moving to Collingwood in October 2020, Carly continued to enjoy running, biking, hiking, dancing, and swimming. She then decided to take up triathlons and has completed a few Ironman 70.3’s, and most recently represented Canada at the World Triathlon Age Group Championships in Spain and came 9th.
